Procurements from government are tough cookies to crack.
The governmental change to digital and the formation of the Government Digital Service has enabled companies like i2N access to contracts through a variety of frameworks which allow a faster and more productive process.
Writing in the Telegraph, Rachel Bridge argues that changing the culture of government spending is vital to success in the SME market. Through the success of G-Cloud, mostly by the involvement of SME’s, i2N have had the ability to grow and develop and work in new and innovative ways to get the proper delivery that the government requires.
i2N’s Commercial Director Ian Glen says: “G-Cloud has been transformational in terms of opening up contract opportunities to ourselves and other SMEs. We now have the confidence to increase our levels of investment back into the business, to hire more staff, and to plan to bring more products and services to the marketplace”.
This confidence can only grow as the government opens up more sectors for SME’s and changes the culture of spending to a process that involves frameworks like the G-Cloud.
